I'm Captain Jacob Michelsen, and I grew up on these waters — running the tidal creeks of the lower Chesapeake before I could drive a car, and learning the Tangier Sound the way most people learn their own neighborhood. Over the years that curiosity turned into a craft I've spent a lifetime perfecting: reading tide charts against real conditions, tracking how wind direction and water temperature push bait and fish between the flats and channels, and logging patterns season after season until they became second nature. I've fished this bay through every kind of weather and every phase of the moon, and that depth of experience is what lets me put clients on fish when other boats are coming up empty.
Safety is never an afterthought on my boat. Every trip is run with a well-maintained vessel, sound judgment on the water, and a captain who knows this bay well enough to keep you comfortable, confident, and putting fish in the box.

Our 24-foot Romarine offers a comfortable, stable ride powered by a brand-new Suzuki 225 outboard — dependable, worry-free power for a full day on the water. Add enclosed cabin seating for when the wind picks up, and wide, uncluttered deck space so everyone on board has room to cast, fight a fish, and net a catch without stepping over each other. The boat is fully outfitted with all USCG-approved safety equipment, so you can fish with total peace of mind.
